New view of files/tasks

The new breakdown by filing and, below, the tasks of the respective group is unfavorable. If you as a user have several storage spaces, the work involved with the new view (since version 7.6) is more complex and confusing. Would it be possible to choose the setting yourself here, i.e. view by file or view by tasks?
Jens Büscher
Thanks for the feedback. We integrated this view into the Amagno.App and the behavior was good for the users. Although this is not the daily number of users.
Question about the classification of the wish: I currently have over 80 folders in Amagno with a corresponding number of tasks. But in the tasks in the “old” view, these are rather “mixed up” - i.e. sorted by default, but independent of the filing. Which rather disrupted my personal work flow:).
But we also don't want to maintain code twice for different views. The good thing is that switching to a specific file only shows the tasks that make sense for filing.
What would be a UI design idea for you to take all of these concerns into account? We have ideas too, but feedback from you is also welcome.

Jens Büscher It may be possible to solve it in such a way that the tasks for the current folder are always displayed in the upper area, e.g. “Tasks from the current folder” and in a lower “separate” area, e.g. “Further tasks in other folders”, all remaining tasks from the other folders are displayed. Perhaps that would also be a conceivable solution for other users? See picture..

Marvin Hartmann: That's a good suggestion, thank you very much!
Perhaps an alternative suggestion:
Depending on where I am (globally or in a file), the task list still shows basically all related tasks.
Instead of the necessary selection of the relevant folder, all tasks are displayed again. But: A combo box appears at the top as a filter, which allows you to filter the tasks by the relevant filing system. If I switch to a tray in other ways, the filter is placed on the tray.
If I switch somewhere else or other scenarios, I still have access to the filter, for example, “(All Tasks)”, which shows all tasks again. A double click on the task icon in the topic bar would automatically display “All tasks.”

Jens Büscher If I would personally find even better with a filter, it would also keep an overview and overview!

I am also of the opinion that you should include a user-specific, selectable setting. I thought you'd make friends with the new sorts at some point, but because we have a few folders, switching between tasks is extremely time-consuming! As a result, some things have already been forgotten here!

The new breakdown is extremely laborious, it would be very desirable if it could be chosen by each user. Jumping around tasks is also extremely annoying depending on the update time, and it is difficult to keep track of things.

View the tasks - choose between old and new

It would be great if, as a user, I could choose in my user profile, for example, whether I see my tasks in the new view (sorted by storage) or in the old view.
